Col Maness shares his experiences working at the Pentagon on 9/11/2001

Madisonville, LA – Col. Rob Maness (USAF, ret.) and his wife Candy released a video titled “Never Forget” as a reflection on 9/11, telling the story of the American courage, leadership, and unity that they saw exemplified thirteen years ago today.

Rob and Candy Maness talk about their family’s experience at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.  Rob describes his efforts working with with colleagues in the rescue efforts following the attack and Candy shares her persecutive as a military spouse waiting, hoping, and praying for her husband.

“The thing that stands out most about that day is the amazing heroism of those around me, especially the civilians who were willing to face great uncertainty and be a part of a team made up of strangers to help others. Everyone there that day was an American, and that was all that mattered on that day. While we remember those who were killed and injured that day, let’s also remember the strength and self-sacrifice shown by the Americans who came together to help others,” Maness said.
